Pasting the Acronis Serial Number Directly into the Script
Pasting the Acronis Serial Number Directly into the Script

If WinBuilder is running, exit it before proceeding with these instructions.

Open the Windows Notepad program (Start >> All Programs >> Accessories >> Notepad), select the File menu and then the Open... option.

1.1

Browse to the location of the script you wish to edit. In this example, I'm using the TrueImageH11 script in the C:\WinBuilder074\Projects\VistaPE\App\xTrueImageH11 folder.

Select to view All Files (*.*) so the script file will be displayed in the list of files. (In XP, this is the Files of type: drop-down box.)

1.2

Click on the script file and then click the Open button.

1.3

If Notepad has the Word Wrap option enabled, you may want to disable it to allow easier viewing of the script file. With this option disabled, you can scroll horizontally to view lines that are too long to be displayed in the Notepad window.

1.4

Scroll down through the script file until you get to the [Interface] section. This section is most likely near the bottom of the file.

Locate the line that contains the Serial Number (Registry Key) information (it should be the first line in the [Interface] section).

1.5

The Serial number needs to be pasted in at the end of the line. Click on the line and press the END key.

1.6

After the comma, type in two double-quote marks. Next, position the cursor between the quote marks by using the arrow keys or clicking with the mouse.

1.7

Press Ctrl-V to paste in the Serial Number value copied from the Registry. (If you don't currently have the Serial Number copied to the clipboard, follow the instructions in the script portion of this guide to copy it.)

1.8

Now, save the file (File >> Save) and exit Notepad (File >> Exit).

1.9

Restart WinBuilder, browse to the script and make sure the Serial Number shows up properly in the box.
